Welcome to I

Everyone is welcome here. If you have a boat or just like boats, we hope we have
something to offer you. According to the U.S. Coast Guard, in 2001, there were 12.9
million recreational boats registered in the United States. We do not have reliable
numbers on how many boats there are worldwide, but the numbers are impressive.
While doing research for this site I was curious about how old is boating and when was the first boat built. Due to the fact that boats are older than recorded history, we must rely on discoveries of physical evidence (actual Boats). During my research, I found an article that stated scientists discovered the remains of a 7000 year old boat. I also read a story about the discovery of a boat from 6300 BC. I don't know what the actual answer is, but if we agree, that boating has been around for a long, long time, we can continue.
More than 70% of the Earths Surface is Water (Oceans, Lakes, Rivers, Streams, etc,), and Water is very important for life. About 75% of the human body is water and 90% of human blood is water. It's easy to see that Early Man's existence was closely tied to water sources. It probably didn't take too long for Early man to realize that if a tree branch floats and a log floats, a person could stay afloat clinging to or even sitting on-top of a log. and if you tie several logs together, you can bring a friend or return home with more food from the other side of the river.
